I was looking for something that gives me a bigger negative than 35mm but is more portable than large format other than the 6x6 medium format I already have covered with the Rolleis. 6x7 looked a pretty cool aspect ratio and with me being a rangefinder type of guy, the Mamiya 7 turned out out be the ideal tool.
